Vietnamese press reported on Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement

Vietnamese state press reported on the recent statement by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex), regarding the inclusion of the island, by the United States, in a list of countries that supposedly do not cooperate with the fight against terrorism.

The note, published by the national media corporation La Voz de Vietnam (VOV), mentions Cuba´s position when the island calls Washington´s step as a "unilateral, arbitrary and unfounded" decision that only aids to the intentions to defame and pressure countries refusing to bend to the will of the US government. ”

VOV mentioned the firearms attack perpetrated against the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Washington on April 30 and recalled that, after that act, some Cuban missions in various continents were threatened, as explained in the statement by the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In its statement on June 1, Minrex recapitulates that Cuba has been a victim of state terrorism directly perpetrated by the US government, which sometimes acted in connivance  with organized crime in that country.

As a result of these acts, Minrex states, 3478 Cubans have died and 2099 suffer or have suffered some type of disability.

The text points out that Cuba´s commitment with decisive actions against and condemnation of terrorism is enshrined in its Constitution and it is absolute and categorical as to opposing any form and manifestation of terrorism, particularly state terrorism.
