During the work visit to Turkmenistan, the Cuban ambassador, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, toured the Olympic Village in Ashgabat, capital of the country, where the works built for the V Asian Games Under Roof and Martial Arts, held in this Central Asian nation, were valued.
Maksat Hojagulyyev, manager of the complex, explained to the visitors that the Villa has 30 buildings, including 15 competition stages.
As a curiosity, he commented that in the main stadium there is a sculpture of an equine that symbolizes the Akhal Teke race, which measures more than forty meters and has already passed to the Guinness of the records for being the largest equine head ever built.
The Cuban ambassador in Turkmenistan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, wrote in the visitors' honor book to the complex that: "... the sports facilities represent a monument to health, peace and fellowship among the peoples, athletes and youth of the world."
