Addis Ababa, November 13, 2025.- From African soil, the outpouring of love and solidarity toward Cuba continues to grow. Today, the halls of our Embassy in Addis Ababa are filled with crates carrying medicine and donations intended to provide relief and support to our people in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.
Ethiopian friends, solidarity organizations and Cuban compatriots residing in Ethiopia have united in a common purpose. Ethiopian-Cubans from both sides of the border, bound by history and gratitude, are working shoulder to shoulder to deliver aid to the most affected areas of our island.
Each box that is packed contains more than just medicine: it contains affection, commitment and faith in recovery. Every call, every gesture and every outstretched hand testifies that distance is no obstacle when it comes to building bridges of love and solidarity.
Our Cuban Embassy in Ethiopia is working tirelessly to ensure that all this aid reaches those who need it most as quickly as possible. We are deeply grateful to all those from this sister nation who have offered their support.
Because Cuba is not alone and once again, the people demonstrate that solidarity is the most humane and universal language.
