This morning, August 8, young Barbadians Tia Zalinda Mitchell and Kwami Hashim Inniss signed the "Foreign Student Code of Ethics" as part of the scholarship process granted to them to study medicine in the Republic of Cuba. This cooperation program has been offered by our country to 159 countries around the world since 1961, allowing young foreigners to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies in various fields.
In a simple but solemn ceremony held at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Barbados, both young people signed the document in the presence of Olga Dalmau González, Chargé d'Affaires of the diplomatic mission, assuming the responsibility and commitment to respect and comply with the precepts of this Code of Ethics and achieve good academic performance, in order to be able to serve their country upon graduation. This opportunity is offered to them by the Government of Cuba and the Government of Barbados, thanks to the Cooperation Agreement and the good bilateral relations between the two countries.
