INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Commonwealth of Dominica informs all interested persons that its Consular Office will be temporarily closed to the public from Wednesday, September 18 through Friday, October 18, 2024.

During this period in which consular services will not be provided, for any consular emergency, please contact the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Saint Lucia.

35 former presidents of the world send a letter to the president of the United States requesting that Cuba be removed from the list of countries that support terrorism

Havana, September 13, 2024.- The former president of Colombia Ernesto Samper announced the letter that he and 34 other former leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Asia signed.

In the letter, the former leaders asked President Joe Biden to remove Cuba from that list before the end of his term and asked him to heed this humanitarian call to alleviate the situation of millions of innocent people.

Cuban Ambassador to Dominica, Miguel Fraga, meets with the Mayor of Roseau, Ermine Royer.

Roseau, Dominica - September 5, 2024 - With the purpose of strengthening ties between Cuba and the capital of Dominica, the Cuban Ambassador to the island, Miguel Fraga, held a meeting with the Mayor of Roseau, Ermine Royer. During the cordial exchange, which took place at the Mayor's office, both authorities discussed cooperation issues in areas of mutual interest, in search of a more prosperous and sustainable future for both nations.

Scholarships awarded to students from Dominica for higher studies in Cuba.

Roseau, Dominica - August 20, 2024 - In a simple but moving ceremony held at the State House, the official residence of the President of Dominica, scholarships were awarded today to nine students from Dominica to pursue their university studies in Cuba. The ceremony was presided over by the Cuban Ambassador to Dominica, Miguel Fraga and the Minister for Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence of Dominica, Honorable Octavia Alfred.
