Important regional tourism meeting will be held in Cuba.

UN Tourism's Regional Director for the Americas, Gustavo Santos, informed today that the Cuban beach resort of Varadero will host an important meeting of the travel sector.

During an interview with the European publication Travel Trade Caribbean (TTC), the official said that the 69th Meeting of the Regional Commission for the Americas (CAM) and the Seminar: Enhancing tourism development through innovation in community-based tourism (April 29-30) will be held in Varadero.

At the gates in Cuba Festival A Bridge to Havana.

Dedicated to the Cuban capital as Creative City of Music, the International Festival A Bridge to Havana will be held from April 26 to 28, according to the official note of the event released today.

In this new edition, Havana's Club 500 José Antonio Echeverría will host on its stage outstanding Cuban artists such as Los Van Van, Waldo Mendoza, Karamba, Buena Fe and Havana D'Primera, who will merge talent with musicians from Holland, Spain and Colombia.

Cultural links unite Cuban and U.S. cities

Cuban bartender wins international tournament in Athens.

Kenia Borges Brotón, bartender at the Breeza bar of the Meliá Internacional Hotel in Varadero, won the top prize in the first international cocktail competition for women, which has just been held in Athens.

With her Perla del Norte cocktail, the young woman from Cardenas beat representatives from 15 other countries in the national category of the contest organized in the Greek capital under the name of Barlady, and was accompanied by the president of the Cuban Bartenders Association, Eddis Naranjo Carrillo.
