Federation of Cuban Women at UN meeting for gender equality.

A representation of the Federation of Cuban Women, headed by its general secretary Teresa Amarelle Boué, participates from today in the sessions of the Commission on the Status of Women based here.

The event, considered the largest annual UN meeting for the empowerment of women and girls, will run until the 22nd with debates focused on accelerating the achievement of equality, tackling poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.

Cuba participated in the First Tampa International Book Fair.

The First Tampa International Book Fair (TIBF) was held at the Ybor City Cuban Club with the aim of promoting reading among children and young people.

The literary event, which also became a space for writers and readers to interact, was attended by a delegation of the Cuban Book Chamber, who developed an intense program.

Cuba took a cultural sample to the 2024 Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge, a distinguished international culinary competition, held at the Union Station headquarters in Washington D.C.
Represented by traditional Cuban beverages and gastronomic dishes, as well as promotional posters of our tourist destinations, the Cuban stand received hundreds of visitors who came to taste the proposals. Guests enjoyed the famous mojito and also received a detailed explanation from the Cuban delegation on the cultural heritage of the largest of the Antilles. 

From Baltimore: "Cuba is not a terrorist country".

Presbyterian congregations in the city of Baltimore, urged Senator Ben Cardin, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Upper House of the U.S. legislative body, to exclude Cuba from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism (LEPT).

U.S. intelligence operation against Cuban finances revealed.

The U.S. intelligence community is carrying out a strategy to distort Cuban finances, as part of the U.S. economic war against the Caribbean nation.

Recently leaked information shows a series of maneuvers carried out to induce inflation within the Cuban market. The strategy is divided into four stages: shortages, induced inflation, supply boycott and financial blockade.
