New Cuban teachers arrive in Jamaica
Kingston, August 27, 2024. As part of the bilateral cooperation agreement in the field of education, 28 new Cuban teachers arrived in Jamaica and will join schools starting next September.
The intensive preparation for their teaching duties began with a professional orientation program in the parish of Saint Ann, which was opened by the Honorable Marsha Smith, Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Youth; Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, as well as other officials of the Ministry and the Cuban Embassy.
