Nicosia, November 22, 2022 - On November 22, 1960, the governments of the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Cuba announced the establishment of diplomatic relations. Thus, the largest island of the Greater Antilles became one of the first countries to recognize the Cypriot Republic, after achieving its independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
