NOTICE OF THE CONSULAR SECTION / EMBASSY OF CUBA

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of Denmark informs that, during the months of July and August, we will maintain in-person consular services always by appointment of those interested.

We remind all users that our services, as usual, will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 12 pm.

For epidemiological reasons, together with the need to preserve the health of our visitors, and the staff who will provide our services, we kindly request you to comply with the sanitary measures guided by the Danish health authorities.

Cuban Ambassador to Denmark, Roger López García, was received at the Parliament's headquarters by the “Unitary List” deputy, Christian Juhl, with whom he maintained a cordial and friendly dialogue.

The Cuban diplomat updated the former vice president of the Danish Parliament on the evolution of Covid-19 in our country, on the efforts of the country's leadership and medical health personnel, to mitigate the effects of the pandemic in the midst of the exacerbation of the cruel economic, commercial and financial blockade by the US Government

Cuban president reaffirms pride in health collaborators

Havana, Jul 14, 2020.- President Miguel Diaz-Canel reaffirmed on Tuesday this nation's pride for Cuban health collaborators who fought the Covid-19 pandemic in other countries.

'Proud of our heroes in fighting Covid-19. Solidarity, commitment, love,' the president posted on his Twitter account.

On Monday, the head of State and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero welcomed the 52 members of the Henry Reeve contingent, who returned to the country after fighting the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Andorra, Nicaragua, and Antigua and Barbuda.

Cuba reiterates commitment to fight against corruption in UN Human Rights Council

Geneva, July 14, 2020 -- Cuba reaffirmed at the UN Human Rights Council its commitment to the fight against corruption, and called for it to always be addressed with respect for the sovereignty of countries.

Speaking in an interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, Diego García-Sayán, Cuban representative Jairo Rodríguez noted that the island had successfully completed two cycles of the review mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
