Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament receives the Cuban Ambassador

Copenhagen, 20 November 2020. The Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the “Folketing”, Danish Parliament, Martin Lidegaard; received at the headquarters of the Chiristiamborg Palace, the Ambassador of Cuba in the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García.

The Cuban diplomat conveyed to him the will of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba (ANPP), the Cuban legislative body, to promote inter-parliamentary relations, and cooperation in various fields with the Danish Parliament, as a contribution to the development of ties between our two countries and peoples.

“UnblockCuba” campaign in Denmark.

Copenhagen, November 12, 2020. The Cuban Dano Friendship Association, and its groups, organized a mobilization in the context of the “UnblockCuba” Campaign, which began in the Kingdom of Denmark, along with the European movement.

In their demonstrations against the cruel economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, in Copenhagen, a group of friends made a tour -for five hours- with demonstrations standing in front of the North American Embassy, and in the Folketing, Christiansborg Palace, seat of the National Parliament.

The Ambassador of Cuba receives the President of the Danish Communist Party at the diplomatic headquarters in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen, October 21, 2020. The Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, held a fraternal meeting with the President of the Danish Communist Party (KP), Jorgen Petersen, at the diplomatic headquarters of our country.

At the meeting, they were able to exchange widely on current issues, international affairs, and the promotion of bilateral ties.

Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with executive of the Confederation of Danish Industry.

Copenhagen 10-15-2020. The Ambassador of Cuba in the Kingdom of Denmark, Roger López García, received at the Embassy of Cuba, the Commercial Counselor of the Confederation of Danish Industry, Emil Stub.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed areas of possible interests in which commercial and business exchange can grow in sectors prioritized by the new business portfolio.

Elected Cuba, for the fifth time, member of the United Nations Human Rights Council

Cuba was elected to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, a body made up of 47 member states, responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights in the world. Founding member of the Council that deposed the former Commission on Human Rights, this is the fifth time that Cuba occupies a seat on this body, among the 8 reserved for the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States.
