CUBA'S REPORT AGAINST THE BLOCKADE IN 2024 SEPTEMBER, 22, 2024

Between March 2023 and February 2024, the US government maintained the policy of maximum pressure against Cuba and the rigorous application of the economic, commercial and financial blockade as its fundamental axis.
The blockade caused material damages and losses to Cuba estimated in the order of 5 thousand 56.8 million dollars. Taking into account the behavior of the dollar against the value of gold in the international market, this policy has caused quantifiable losses of more than 1 trillion 499 thousand 710 million dollars.

EL INFORME DE CUBA CONTRA EL BLOQUEO EN 2024 SEPTIEMBRE, 22 2024

Entre marzo de 2023 y febrero de 2024, el gobierno de los EE.UU. mantuvo la política de máxima presión contra Cuba y la aplicación rigurosa del bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero como su eje fundamental.
El bloqueo causó daños y perjuicios materiales a Cuba estimados en el orden de los 5 mil 56,8 millones de dólares. Tomando en cuenta el comportamiento del dólar frente al valor del oro en el mercado internacional, esta política ha provocado perjuicios cuantificables por más de 1 billón 499 mil 710 millones de dólares.

Meeting with the President of the Danish Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee

Copenhagen, August 30, 2024. Ambassador Ana Maria Chongo was received by Ms. Lise Bech, President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Danish Parliament. Both exchanged views on the state of relations between the two nations.

For her part, the Cuban Ambassador dedicated a special part to denouncing the intensification of the genocidal blockade against Cuba and the inclusion of the country in the unilateral and illegal list of States sponsoring terrorism of the United States Department of State.

Meeting with renowned director-screenwriter Lars von Trier

Copenhagen, September 1, 2024. The renowned Danish director, screenwriter, film producer and cinematographer, Mr. Lars von Trier, gave the Cuban ambassador, Ana María Chongo, two paintings, fulfilling the last will of his brother, Ole Trier, a prominent member of the Danish-Cuban Friendship Association, to give them to the Museum of Fine Arts in Havana.

The occasion was propitious to exchange interests related to the film industry of both countries.

The United States has to take Cuba, once and for all, out of the list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism. Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

According to U.S. official media reports, on 15 May 2024, the country’s State Secretary submitted to the Congress one more of the arbitrary reports that normally describe countries without any international mandate or recognition. This time, he listed four countries who allegedly “do not fully cooperate with the United States antiterrorist efforts for the 2023 calendar year.” As opposed to what has happened in recent years, the list does not slanderously include Cuba among such countries.
