Ambassador highlights harmful effects of US blockade in meeting with Venezuelan counterpart in Helsinki

The Ambassador of Cuba, HE Mrs. Beatriz Parra González, received in a courtesy meeting her counterpart from Venezuela, HE Mr. Ramón Gordils, on the premises of the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in this Nordic capital. In a pleasant meeting, both diplomats highlighted the close ties of cooperation between Cuba and Venezuela, cemented on the close friendship between the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, and the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez Frías.

"Havana Pink" a cultural project to bring Cuba closer to Finland

The Cuban Embassy was very pleased to welcome on Monday the renowned choreographer Juan Pujals, who has lived in Finland for more than three decades and is currently the leader of the cultural project "Havana Pink." In an exchange with Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, Pujals presented important cultural proposals that will be promoted in the coming months, guided by traditional Cuban music and rhythms that they hope to extend to Finland and the Baltic countries. Last May, the Embassy accompanied the premiere of "Havana Pink" in Helsinki, a promising cultural project that will surely increase the cultural bridge between Cuba and Finland.

GRULAC´s dean welcomed the new Ambassador of Uruguay in Finland

Cuban Ambassador, Mrs Beatriz Parra González received a courtesy visit of HE Mrs. Alejandra Bellis, Ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay in Finland. During the exchange the Cuban diplomat offered a cordial welcome to the Group of Latin American and the Caribbean Ambassadors residing in Helsinki (GRULAC), on behalf of her colleagues of Chile, Brasil, Colombia, México, Perú and Argentina. Both authorities talk about the Grulac activities in Finland and also about the historical relationship between Cuba and Uruguay.

Cuba accompanies the opening of the Kolibrí Festival in Finland

Helsinki, August 27, 2024.- The Embassies of Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico accompanied the inauguration of the "Kolibrí" Cultural Festival, promoted in the last ten years by the "Ninho ry" Organization in Finland.

Minrex Statement "Categorical rejection of unfounded allegations of interference in US elections"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, such allegations. It likewise deplores the fact that the US government, its State Department and intelligence agencies have not disqualified the direct reference to alleged government agencies whose authority seem to support those slanderous articles. The US government cannot possibly refer to any evidence or sign whatsoever –because they don’t exist- indicating that Cuba has interfered or intended to interfere in its electoral processes; or that Cuba is in favor of any particular politician in the state of Florida or any other state of that country. Any reference in this regard is absolutely mendacious.
