Dublin, October 20, 2019. After a cold and rainy night, the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, arrived on an official two-day visit to Ireland. The Cubana de Aviation air plane touched down at 10:02 local time on a splendid morning with bright sunshine and 4 degrees of temperature.
On the runway of the Dublin airport, Mrs. Emma Madigan, director of the Foreign Ministry Protocol, Mrs. Barbara Jones, Irish Ambassador to Cuba, Hugo René Ramos and Soraya Torres, Cuban Ambassador and Consul, came to welcome you respectively.
The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, will begin this Sunday an official visit to European countries, which will include Ireland, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. It will also attend the XVIII Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will take place in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on the 25th and 26th of this month.
The Cuban President will hold official conversations with his counterparts in the countries visited and will carry out other activities.
Dublin, October 18, 2019. As part of the celebration of the ISLA Festival of the Cervantes Institute in Dublin, a presentation was made of the Cuban dancers and teachers Irma Castillo and Ulises Mora, which became a Cuban party.
The occasion was propitious to pay posthumous tribute to Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso, one of the most recognized dancers in the world, and responsible for training several generations of dancers during the Cuban Revolution.
