Dublin, November 16, 2018. With the assistance of representatives of several dozens of countries and leaders of pacifist movements, the First International Conference against the military bases of the United States and NATO was inaugurated in Dublin.

The speakers of this inaugural session coincided in highlighting the hundreds of billions of dollars that are spent annually on weapons, being diverted from key sectors such as education, health and food. The gap between rich and poor deepens.

Dublin November 15, 2018. Dr. Aleida Guevara March during her stay in Ireland held a friendly meeting with Finian McGrath, Minister of State in charge of attention to people with disabilities.

The Cuban Ambassador in Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés and Silvio Platero, President of the Cuban Movement for Peace, also participated in the meeting.

Deputy Thomas Pringle, coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, gave the welcome at the headquarters of the Irish parliament to Dr. Aleida Guevara March, who is visiting Ireland. Also present was Deputy Maureen O'Sulivan, vice president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the parliament, as well as Silvio Platero, President of Cuban Movement for Peace and activists of the Cuba Support Group, a recognized organization in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution.

Dublin, November 5, 2018. The designated Ambassador of Ireland in Cuba, H. E. Barbara Jones and the Cuban Ambassador in Dublin, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, held a fruitful working meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban embassy this morning, in which they exchanged views on the actions that could be developed in the short term and strengthen the expansion of bilateral relations in various sectors of mutual interest.
