INTERLATINA Students from Leiden University Visited the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands

The Hague, March 14, 2025. Representatives of the Latin American Student Association (INTERLATINA) from the Faculty of International Studies at Leiden University visited the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands.

They exchanged views with the Mission's diplomatic staff, who provided an overview of Cuba, the Cuban Foreign Service, bilateral relations with the Netherlands, and the daily work of a diplomatic mission.

Permanent Representative of Cuba presents credentials to the Director General of the OPCW

The Hague, March 10, 2025. The new permanent representative of Cuba to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Eva Yelina Silva Walker, presented her Credentials to the Director General, Fernando Arias.

The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the international organization and was also attended by the Deputy Director General, the Director of External Relations and the second head of the Cabinet.

Tribute to Cuban Women at the Hague

The Hague, March 5, 2025. With the collaboration of the Hispanic Association of The Hague, the Cuban Embassy in the Kingdom of the Netherlands screened the Cuban film “Lucia”, a classic of our cinema directed by Humberto Solás. 

The film was screened as a tribute to Cuban women, on the occasion of International Women's Day. This was a propitious space to promote the culture and identity of our country, as well as the Spanish language.

Cuban ambassador attended the celebration of the National Day of the State of Kuwait

The Hague, February 20, 2025. Cuban ambassador to the Netherlands, Eva Yelina Silva Walker, attended at noon on Thursday the celebration of the National Day of the State of Kuwait, date that commemorates the 64th anniversary of its independence, and conveyed congratulations to the Chargé d'Affaires of the Kuwaiti Embassy in The Hague, Ibrahim Aldai. 

The Caribbean diplomat highlighted the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Kuwait, whose diplomatic ties were established more than half a century ago.

Cuban Ambassador presents her Letters of Credence before King Willem Alexander

The Hague, February 19, 2025. The Cuban ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker, presented this Wednesday, in a traditional Dutch ceremony, the Letters of Credence that accredit her as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to His Majesty, King Willem Alexander.

During the exchange held with the Dutch Head of State, the representative of the Cuban government reiterated the commitment to continue promoting cooperation in various sectors and economic and commercial ties between both countries.
