The Cuban Ambassador to the UK participated in the launching of the book "We are Cuba"

The Ambassador of Cuba to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Elena Montalvo Álvarez, participated today in the online launch of the book We are Cuba by British academician Helen Yaffe. We are Cuba offers an analysis of the last 30 years of the Cuban revolutionary process and how the Cuban people has survived the post-Soviet Union era.

The diplomat congratulated the author and highlighted that, despite her youth, Yaffe has become a referent academician in the UK for Cuban topics. Likewise, the Ambassador thanked the honesty with which the author conducted this project.

The Embassy of #Cuba thanks this initiative launched by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign which, together with their open letter signed by 15,000 people from more than 80 countries and their request to lift the blockade signed by 51 Members of the British Parliament, is part of the permanent support of this organization to the Cuban people.

Over 50 MPs call on government to oppose US blockade of Cuba

MORE than 50 MPs are calling for the British government to intervene against the US blockade of Cuba.

They want Britain to join the international outcry demanding suspension of the illegal blockade which is preventing delivery of medicines and equipment to combat the Covid-19 epidemic.

Labour MP Grahame Morris, chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cuba, co-ordinated a letter to Foreign Secretary and acting Prime Minister Dominic Raab urging the government to make a public statement and raise the issue with the US government.
