Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Triumph of the October Socialist Revolution

Organized by the Revolutionary Communist Group (RCG), a massive activity took place last Saturday, October 14th, at the headquarters of the Central University of London, in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Triumph of the October Socialist Revolution. At the ceremony, Cuban Ambassador Teresita Vicente took the floor and answered questions from a young and active audience, eager to know the Cuban and Latin American reality, and made reference to the validity of Marxism-Leninism in our society nowadays.

Conference on 50th Anniversary of Che Guevara´s death

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Che Guevara´s murder, a conference was held on Monday 9th October at the University College London. Prominent intellectuals shared stories about his life and work as a guerrilla fighter, revolutionary, economist and intellectual. Counselors Guillermo Parera and Julio E. Pujol attended on behalf of the Cuban Embassy.

Venezuela Solidarity Campaign

With the motto Keep Trump out of Latin America – Solidarity with Venezuela! a day of solidarity with the sister country was held on Friday 6 October. The Ecuador, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba together standing against Trump panel discussion was held, where the Ambassadors of Nicaragua and Cuba took the floor, as well as some representatives from Ecuadorian and Venezuelan Embassies.

Fringe Meeting on Cuba during NUT Annual Conference

UNITED KINGDOM, 15th April, 2017.-A fringe meeting on Cuba, convened by Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) took place on the occasion of the annual conference of the biggest British teachers’ union, the National Union of Teachers (NUT).

Several speakers addressed the topic of education in Cuba.

During the event, NUT Secretary General, Kevin Courtney, reminded the attendees that despite the blockade, Cuba had made great achievements in education; an undeveloped country with a great education system.
