Yesterday afternoon, January 10, 2019, the Embassy of Venezuela in Egypt organized a rally of support for the swearing in of Nicolás Maduro as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which took place simultaneously in Caracas.
The meeting held yesterday, January 9, 2019, between the Assistant for Public and External Relations of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt and the Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba in Egypt, Dennis Casares Benítez, took place in an atmosphere of friendship and respect. The General Director for International Relations of that Ministry also participated in the meeting.
Within the framework of the celebrations in Egypt on the occasion of the Christmas holidays of the Orthodox Coptic Church, the members of the Embassy of Cuba took part in a courtesy meeting with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, main figure of the Orthodox Coptic Christian religion.
The Chamberlain of the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Mokhtar, visited us at the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba to congratulate us, on behalf of the President of Egypt, H.E. Abdelfattah Al Sisi, on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution on January 1st, 2019, the Embassy of Cuba held a reception on December 20th attended by representatives of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, members of the diplomatic corps, the Cuban residents’ community in the country and Egyptian friends.
