Pretoria, 27 April 2024 - South Africa today celebrates 30 years of independence, of the end of the opprobrious apartheid regime, which for more than 40 years kept the South African people under its cruel yoke. Thirty years after that unquestionable victory, tribute was paid in the Union Buildings lawns to all those who fought and gave their lives to conquer freedom.
Pretoria, April 23, 2024.-A delegation of the South African Communist Party (SACP), consisting of comrades Lefika Chetty and Tebogo Phadu, paid a working visit to Cuba. They were received by officials at the headquarters of the Communist Party of Cuba, in Havana.
Pretoria, April 22, 2024 - Officials of the Cuban State Mission in Pretoria held a fruitful meeting with the Director of Bilateral Relations and Cooperation of the National Department of Tourism of South Africa, Mr. Dumisani Nyalynga. The counsellor for economic affairs, Aldo Javier Valdés, and the third secretary, Bryan Betancourt Brito participated, as well as the head of the UNECA brigade in South Africa, Rolando Macías.
Pretoria, April 18, 2024.- Members of the diplomatic corps from several nations accredited to South Africa celebrated the Victory of Bay of Pigs in 1961, when the people of Cuba defeated a US-organised mercenary invasion. In attendance were, among others, civilian and military representatives from South Africa, Russia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
Pretoria, April 15, 2024 - The rector of the University of Cienfuegos, Dr. C. Orquídea Urquiola Sánchez, signed a memorandum of understanding with Prof. Puleng LenkaBula, vicechancellor and principal from the University of South Africa (UNISA), in the framework of the the XII Conference on Teacher Education and Interdisciplinary Research.
