Pretoria, September 01, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, was received by the Chief Director for the Latin America and the Caribbean of the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Ambassador Msolize Bona, in order to carry out a periodic review of the main issues of bilateral interest.
Realizing how the oldest liberation movement in Africa is fast destroying itself and "comrade against comrade" for the sake of positions, and I hope for the sake of a progressive society where the will of the ruling party can be driven by the continued realization that the primary motive forces must remain the poor and working class, that those in leadership at all fronts, that Chè words can continue to be the conscious of all. "At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality."
Pretoria, August 30, 2022.- The official for Press and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa, Lauren Luis Acosta, received today the visit of the South Africa's National Poet Laureate, Mongane Wally Serote. The famous poet recalled the close friendship between Fidel and Mandela, as a paradigm for the relationship between Cuba and South Africa.
Pretoria, August 27, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa participated in the event Conversations + Consequence, held at Freedom Park, in the context of national celebrations for the Women´s Month. African ambassadors and members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the nation also attended.
Pretoria, August 25, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa participated in the virtual seminar United against the illegal US economic blockade on Cuba. The event was convened by the Western Cape NEHAWU Division and members of SACP, COSATU and FOCUS also participated in the seminar, as well as the president of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), Michael Mzwandile Makwayiba.
