Embassy of Cuba in South Africa pays tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.

Pretoria, August 13, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa held yesterday, Friday, at the Mission headquarters, a simple but heartfelt tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 96th anniversary of his birth. The event was chaired by the Ambassador Enrique Orta González. Embassy personnel, cooperation chiefs and collaborators from the different brigades working in South Africa also participated.

Thoughts on July 26th.

Pretoria, August 11, 2022.- Sixty-nine years ago, on 26th July 1953, the 22-year-old Raul Castro was among a group of 153 youthful rebels who followed Raul’s elder brother, Fidel, in an assault on the Moncada Army barracks in Santiago de Cuba. A significant number of the contingent died in action. Others were captured and executed. Some died at the hands of torturers during “questioning”.

The Honorable Senator Thulisile Dladla, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini, sends a letter addressed to Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla in which she expresses her condolences for the devastating fire that occurred at the Matanzas supertanker base.
