Ambassador of Cuba pays a courtesy call to the new leadership of the Parliament of Uganda

Kampala. On the morning of today, May 3, the Honorable Anita Annet Entre and Thomas Tayebwa, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, received the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Perez Xiques, at the headquarters of that institution.

The Cuban diplomat congratulated them on their election, wished them success in their duties, and reiterated the message of condolences from the President and the National Assembly of Cuba for the loss of beloved Jacob Oulanya, former President of that African parliament.

Ambassador of Cuba pays a courtesy call to the Minister of Health of Rwanda

Kigali. On the afternoon of April 27, Dr. Nigamije M. Daniel, Minister of Health of the Republic of Rwanda, received Tania Perez Xiques, Ambassador of Cuba not resident in that African nation.

The Cuban diplomat thanked the possibility of the meeting, reiterated the invitation of the Cuban Minister of Public Health to the 2022 Health Convention to be held in Havana in October of this year, and referred to the commitment letter sent to President Paul Kagame by the eight young Rwandans who are currently studying medicine in Cuba.

Cuba and Rwanda sign Bilateral Air Services Agreement.

Kigali. On the afternoon of April 26, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Rwanda, the Bilateral Air Services Agreement between Cuba and that African nation was signed.

After several years of work by the technical authorities of both nations, the legal instrument was signed by Dr. Ernest NSABIMANA, Rwandan Minister of Infrastructure, and Tania Perez Xiques, Ambassador of Cuba.

The Rwandan Minister called the event "opening our respective doors to each other."

Cuban Ambassador presents credentials in the Republic of Rwanda.

Kigali. On the afternoon of April 26, His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, received the credential letters accrediting Tania Perez Xiques, non-resident Ambassador of Cuba in that African country.

The Rwandan president fondly recalled his ties with Cuba as part of his political-military training, and urged the Cuban diplomat to continue ties with the Rwandan authorities from her residence in Kampala, Uganda.

President of the Pan-African Movement of Rwanda visits the Ambassador of Cuba

Kigali. On the afternoon of April 25, Musoni Protais, President of the Pan-African Movement, Rwanda chapter and prominent politician of that country, held a meeting with Tania Perez Xiques, non-resident Ambassador of Cuba in that country.

The Cuban diplomat pointed out the importance that the Embassy attaches to its working relationship with the Pan-African Movement in each of the countries, and in particular highlighted the social recognition of this institution in Rwandan society.
