Governor highlights Cuban humanitarian internationalism in Peru

Lima, Jun 9 .- Peru's Moquegua Governor Zenon Cuevas highlighted the humanitarian internationalism by Cuban doctors, when he officially introduced a medical brigade that came this country to fight the novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Cueva highlighted the presence of the Cuban health professionals and their vocation to serve humanity, when Peru and Moquegua are fighting a pandemic that is killing many people and is causing anxiety, stress and frustration in the country.

ALBA-TCP strongly rejects new aggression against Cuba

The members of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP, by its Spanish initials) firmly rejected the measure announced by the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on 3 June 2020, of including 7 new entities of the Republic of Cuba in the Cuba Restricted List (CRL) of the State Department of the United States.

Encouraging results in the fight against coronavirus in Cuba

Havana, June 9.-- Shortly before the plane that brought home the 52 medical workers who saved lives in Italy landed on Cuban soil, Cuban government leaders checked the situation with COVID-19, as they do everyday.  

The day was marked by that longed-for return and also by the encouraging numbers of this 90th day of the fight against the disease in Cuba.

Cuban medical brigade to fight Covid-19 in Guinea

Havana, June 4 - A Cuban medical brigade left for Guinea to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, Ana Teresita Gonzalez, first deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, reported.

The medical brigade is made up of 11 doctors and 10 nurses, Teresita Gonzalez tweeted.

We were there (Guinea) to fight the Ebola outbreak in 2014, she recalled, asserting Cuba and Africa are united for good.

According to official data, Cuba has sent over 2,600 medical collaborators, devided into 33 brigades, to 26 nations so as to help fight Covid-19.
