Lusaka, May 19, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba designated to the Republic of Zambia, Marileydis Dueñas Morales, presented this Friday to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Hon. Stanley K. Kakubo, the style copies of the Credentials Letters that accredit her as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba before that country.
We, the Association of Friends of Cuba in Zambia declare our steady position alongside Cuba to claim her right to self-determination and stand against the immoral economic and financial blockade that the Imperialist holds over our Caribbean sister nation. We continue pledging our unwavering support to the Cuban people in their journey to achieve true social justice.
Statement by the Revolutionary Government
Havana, June 6th, 2022.- The US Government, abusing its privilege of being the host country, decided at a very early stage to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in the city of Los Angeles this month of June. It has refused to attend to the just claims of many governments to change that discriminatory and unacceptable stand.
Regarding the announcement, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Carlos Fernández de Cossío have said: "It remains to be seen what the regulations are by which the announced measures are going to be implemented, which may take days or months.
