Mexican president says Biden must "make decision" on Cuba embargo.

The Mast, July 29, 2021 (Reuters) - Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said Monday that he thinks U.S. President Joe Biden must make a decision about the embargo against Cuba amid the biggest unrest in the Caribbean nation in decades. Lopez Obrador said it was not enough for countries to vote to end the embargo via the United Nations General Assembly, but that it was time to make a real decision about it, given that "almost all countries of the world" are against it.

Cuba Solidarity Campaign statement on the current situation in Cuba.

Cuba denies US accusations of human trafficking.

The Cuban foreign ministry adds that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken submitted his department’s report which deliberately makes false accusations of human trafficking on Cuba. The report, titled 2020 Trafficking in Persons Report, is deemed by the Cuban government as a vehicle purely for false accusations and political blackmail.
