Cuba congratulates India on the anniversary of its independence.

Cuba joined the celebrations of India on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its independence. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, extended a sincere message of congratulations on behalf of the Cuban government and people to Her Excellency Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India. While Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz also congratulated the Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr. Narendra Modi, to whom he reiterated the bonds of friendship and cooperation in areas of common interest.

Tribute to Fidel in India.

The Cuban Embassy in India paid a heartfelt tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 96th anniversary of his birth. The event was attended by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), D. Raja, and the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and General Secretary of the Indian Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO), Arun Kumar.

Representatives of Cuban and Indian banks exchange in Mumbai.

A delegation of the Cuban banking system, headed by Yamile Berra Cires, Vice President of the Central Bank, and composed of representatives of commercial banks, visited the city of Mumbai. In this city, India's main financial center, they held different exchanges with authorities of banks and financial institutions, including the Indian Reserve Bank and the Export-Import Bank (Eximbank).
