Ambassador of Cuba was received by the Head of Internacional Relations Commette of the CC LPRP

As part of the program of activities organized by the Central Committee of the Lao Popular Revolutionary Party (CC LPRP) to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Cuba, this Wednesday, September 30, the Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo Antonio Rodríguez Vidal , was received at the headquarters of the Central Committee by Comrade Sounthone Xayachack, Head of the Department of International Relations of the CC PPRL.
In the friendly meeting, issues on the bilateral agenda agreed between both parties were addressed.

Good afternoon:

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle.

None of the members of the staff of the mission was injured, who is safe and protected, but some material damages were caused to the building as a result of the numerous gunshots.

The 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and Cuba is celebrated in Vientiane.

Chaired by His Excellencies Phan Kham Viphavanh, Vice President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), Sonexay Sipandone, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Investment, both members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao Revolutionary Popular Party (CC PPRL), Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and member of CC PPRL and Pablo Antonio Rodríguez Vidal, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Lao PDR, was held this day, the central event for the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
