Messages to support Cuba and to condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the island were sent this August 4 from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Cuban Committee of solidarity with those countries.
Cuba gaved a batch of national drug Interferon Alpha 2B to Vietnam, to support the Indochinese country's combat against the COVID-19 pandemic, in a ceremony chaired by Ambassador, Lianys Torres Rivera, and the member of the Communist Party Central Committee and Vietnam Deputy Minister of National Defense, Colonel General Nguyen Chi Vinh.
In the symbolic acceptance ceremony, the diplomat highlighted the application of Heberón, the drug's trade name, in COVID-19 patients, and its favorable effect on reducing the fatality rate among heavy cases.
