Canberra, August 17 - At the headquarters of the iconic Hyatt Hotel in the Australian capital, the Latin American Flavours Festival was inaugurated in its fourth edition, whose organization corresponded for the first time to the Embassy of Cuba, together with the support of the diplomatic missions of Latin America accredited in Australia.
Members from the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society(ACFS) gathered together last weekend in Melbourne city to commemorate 26th July and stressed their support to the Cuban Revolution.
The opening words were delivered by the ACFS´s president, Mrs. Maree Dellora, who stressed the historical significance of that date in which Fidel Castro was revealed to the world as the leader of the revolutionary process that gave Cuba its definitive independence, on 1rst January 1959.
28th May, Canberra- On Saturday 26th May, the Consular section of Cuba in Canberra moved to the city of Melbourne, the second most important in Australia, for bringing consular services to the Cuban community, as well as to provide updated information on the most recent changes adopted by Cuba in migration matters.
