New York, May 15, 2018. The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations, Ambassador Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, met on May 15 with Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The Deputy Permanent Representative of Cuba to the UN, Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, was also present. The Executive Director was accompanied by Kwabena Osei-Danquah and Noemi Espinoza, Director and Adviser of the Division for Governance and Multilateral Affairs, respectively.

La Habana, May 9, 2018.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba expresses its strong condemnation of the decision made by the United States government to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or Iran nuclear agreement, and re-impose sanctions on this country. Failure to abide by these international commitments undermines the norms of coexistence among states and can have serious consequences for stability and security in the Middle East.
