Cuba's Head of Mission in Liberia participated in the 200th anniversary of the founding of the African country.

Monrovia, January 7, 2022 - Cuba's Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated together with members of the Cabinet, the diplomatic corps and foreign business executives in the national celebrations on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the founding of the West African country.

The event took place on Providence Island, the place where those who founded what is now Liberia first set foot on their home continent in 1822 after returning from four centuries of servitude in the United States.

President of Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Monrovia, January 6, 2022.- It was a great honor for the Cuban Embassy in Liberia to receive the visit of the President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association Mr. Kesselee King Kanneh.

Monrovia, October 11, 2021 - In the early hours of the morning, Cuba's head of mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, was received by Liberian diplomat Lahai A. Koazolu, assistant to the deputy minister for American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the African country.

Both diplomats analyzed bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to both nations.

Monrovia, October 10, 2021 - This Sunday morning, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, headed by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, commemorated the 153rd anniversary of the beginning of the war for the independence of Cuba.

With La Demajagua and the other uprisings, the decision of sacrifice and intransigence of the Cubans to achieve independence at whatever cost was necessary was evidenced.
