Director of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry received the Ambassador of Cuba

NIGERIA, October 29, 2018. The Director of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Richard Adejola, received at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Carlos Trejo Sosa.
The meeting took place in a cordial and respectful atmosphere reflecting the existing relations between Cuba and Nigeria. During the meeting highlighted the historical cultural links that unite both nations and ratified the consolidation of these ties.

Visit of the Director a.i of Africa and the Middle East of ICAP

NIGERIA, October 26, 2018. From October 21 to 25, the Cuban Embassy in Nigeria received the Director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) from Africa and the Middle East, Yahimí Rodríguez, who paid a visit of work because of the organization of the VI Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba.

Statement by the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in the "Nelson Mandela Peace Summit”

Mrs. President:

We are so happy and take comfort in the fact that the United Nations General Assembly is convening a peace summit, and that such summit has been named after Nelson Mandela.

Less than 30 years ago, beloved Madiba was a political prisoner in the apartheid jails, serving a life sentence as a result of his noble struggle for justice and equality among all men and women in South Africa, where a white minority was subjecting the black majority to the scorn of segregation.
