Port of Spain, May 9, 2021. The date expected by Cubans every year to celebrate as a family, this time again acquired a virtual hue. The Covid19 pandemic has imposed new stereotypes of celebrations to which the tender, simple and loving tribute that a representation of Cubans in Trinidad and Tobago offered to mothers did not escape.
Port of Spain, May 9, 2021. The collective of the Cuban Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago congratulates all the mothers of the world, especially the Cuban ones. It is they who challenge life every day trying to protect and care for their children, who fight against this terrible pandemic without caring about time or comfort and with the sole purpose of saving lives to alleviate pain.

A representation of Cubans residents and the Cuban Medical Brigade that provides collaborative services in Trinidad and Tobago, also raised their voices to the rhythm of the Cuban key, to demand the uprising of the blockade and to show the unity of all Cubans from different latitudes, in defense of the causes of the workers.

Together with the motto that presides over the international Solidarity with Cuba event "United We'll overcome" the group of the Cuban Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago, we celebrate on May 1, demanding the lifting of the #Bloqueo contra #Cuba and marching from our combat trench with the weapons of unity in defense of the just causes of those most in need.

The political leader of the Social Justice Movement of Trinidad and Tobago and member of the Assembly of the Peoples of the Caribbean, David Abdullah, participated this afternoon in the Forum of the Americas as part of the International Event of Solidarity with Cuba. In a clear and firm message, he highlighted the solidarity and internationalist actions carried out by Cuba on the African continent and those that it is currently developing in the fight against COVID19, its fundamental exponent being the "Henry Reeve" Medical Brigade.
