Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates presents Credentials

Last Thursday, February 13, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the United Arab Emirates,HE Mr. Roberto Blanco Domínguez, presented his Credentials to the Vice President, Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai, his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Cuban diplomat, the first Ambassador of our country resident in the Arab nation, was in charge of the thank-you speech, on behalf of the seven Ambassadors who presented their Credentials.

Cuba denounces the blockade at the 18th General Conference of UNIDO held from November 3 to 7, 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, November 6, 2019. Ambassador Jorge León Cruz, Head of the Delegation of Cuba to the 18th General Conference of UNIDO, took part in the general debate where he denounced that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States of America against Cuba for almost sixty years is the most unjust, severe and prolonged unilateral sanctions system that has been applied against any state.

Cuba present at the 26th World Road Congress in the United Arab Emirates

The 26th World Road Congress, held in Abu Dhabi, from October 6 to 10, 2019, was opened by Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Transportation Authority - Terrestrial and Maritime, as well as by Mr. Claude Van Rooten, President of the World Road Association (PIARC), who in his respective opening speeches offered a warm welcome to the more 1,200 expert participants and leaders in the transport sector of the 121 member countries.
