Abu Dhabi, November 7. Cuba was reelected as one of the 27 Members of the UNIDO Program and Budget Committee; Venezuela was also elected which, like Cuba, is part of the Industrial Development Board, until 2021.

Ambassador Jorge León Cruz, Head of the Delegation of Cuba to the 18th General Conference of UNIDO, took part in the general debate where he denounced that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States of America against Cuba for almost sixty years is the most unjust, severe and prolonged unilateral sanctions system that has been applied against any state.
