The "Cárdenas I" solar photovoltaic park with a peak capacity of 3.75 MW is inaugurated in Cuba, with credit from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund and in coordination with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

The "Cárdenas I" photovoltaic park, with an installed capacity of 3.75 megawatts (MW) peak, was inaugurated on Thursday in the outskirts of the municipality of Matanzas, as part of the "10 MW peak installation program" project.

With a total of 11,700 panels, "Cárdenas I" is one of the four solar plants installed and synchronized to the national electric power system with the credit from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, in partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). , for its acronym in English).

Cuba present at the XVII Session of the Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency

Cuba is present at the opening of the XVII Session of the Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to be held from June 25 to 27, 2019 in Abu Dhabi.

The delegation of Cuba is chaired by the head of the Cuban mission in the United Arab Emirates, Jorge León Cruz, who has had positive exchanges with IRENA executives and members of participating delegations.

Ambassadors of GRULAC meet with Direction of IRENA

The Group of Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean accredited in the United Arab Emirates, we held a fruitful meeting of joint work with the Director General of IRENA, Francesco La Camera, in the international organization headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where the maximum directive made a presentation on the general objectives to work for the development of cooperation with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
