Cuba to receive British cruise ship MS Braemar

Last March 13, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland requested from the Cuban authorities that MS Braemar, be authorized to dock in a Cuban port and that its passengers, a small number of which have been affected by the novel coronavirus, be cleared for repatriation by air. In view of the urgency posed by this situation and the risks for the lives of these affected individuals, the Cuban government has decided to allow this vessel to dock.  Its existing sanitary measures will be implemented, so that everyone on board is received in compliance with the protocols set by both the World Health Organization and the Cuban Ministry of Public Health.

International cooperation project benefits port of Havana

An unloader crane began to be operated on March 12 at the José Antonio Echeverría Cereal Base Business Unit, located on Avenida del Puerto, in the Cuban capital. The machinery constituted a donation from the United Arab Emirates and the World Food Program (WFP), and its implementation occurred during an event attended by Cuban, foreign executives and Bader Almatrooshi, ambassador of that country in the Middle East.

Cuban Ambassador is received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

On February 24, 2020, the Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Roberto Blanco, was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Chief Commander of the Armed Forces.

The cordial meeting took place at Sea Palace Barza and was an opportunity to reiterate the willingness of both parties to continue strengthening bilateral ties.

Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates presents Credentials

Last Thursday, February 13, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the United Arab Emirates,HE Mr. Roberto Blanco Domínguez, presented his Credentials to the Vice President, Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai, his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Cuban diplomat, the first Ambassador of our country resident in the Arab nation, was in charge of the thank-you speech, on behalf of the seven Ambassadors who presented their Credentials.
