Support for Cuba from all over the world

Havana, July 25, 2022.- Cuban residents abroad and friends of Cuba were heard this weekend in all continents prior to the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons.

On July 26, 1953, young people led by then young lawyer Fidel Castro tried to take over those two fortresses in eastern Cuba. The actions failed militarily but represented the beginning of the revolutionary struggle against the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship (1952-1958).

Cuba updates policies for foreign investment

Havana, 21 July 2022. Cuba has updated policies for foreign investment in order to eliminate obstacles that limit access to foreign financing, vital for the performance of the economy, Foreign Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca, explained on Wednesday.

The minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment explained to the lawmakers at the Economic Affairs Committee of the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament) the actions implemented after the body’s accountability to the legislature last December.

Minister of Health of The Bahamas receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Nassau, July 19, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, held a cordial meeting with the Bahamian Minister of Health and Welfare Dr. Michael Darville. Dr. Lorenzo Pérez Sánchez, head of the Cuban collaboration in Health and the Permanent Secretary Colin Higgs participated.

During the exchange they examined the current state of collaboration between the two countries as well as the future perspective of expanding it.

Ambassador of Cuba in Bahamas participates in celebrations for the 49th Anniversary of Independence.

The Ambassador of Cuba has been participating in several activities organized by the government in commemoration of the 49th Anniversary of the Independence of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, highlighting: the Regional Conference on Climate Change held at the University of the Bahamas that seeks proposals to present to the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP27) that will take place this year in Egypt; Concert in greeting to the date and the official reception for the special occasion.
