The Cuban Embassy grants scholarships to study Medicine to three young Bahamians

Nassau, January 8, 2021. In a Caribbean environment, and trying to soften the nerves of future Bahamian doctors, we said goodbye to three young people from this nation who will travel to Cuba next Monday to study Medicine. Despite of the complexities and challenges imposed by Covid19 in our countries: Jade, Giovanni and Dreyson feel that the time has come to face a major challenge; but they are convinced that their effort will be worth it.

Congratulations to the Cuban teachers on their day!

Felicidades a los maestros cubanos en su día

Nassau, December 22th, 2020. In The Bahamas, the Cuban teaching profession is also present. The “Félix Varela” Educational Brigade with its 53 members does an outstanding job and has earned a reputation among parents, students and managers of the Bahamian education system. Other Cuban teachers also work in independent educational institutions and their professionalism is recognized. Congratulations to all the teachers from the Cuban Embassy in The Bahamas on this special day.

Cuba and Bahamas ratify their will to strengthen ties of cooperation

Havana, December 18th, 2020. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and his counterpart from The Bahamas, Darren Henfield, today ratified the will of both nations to continue strengthening their ties of friendship and cooperation.

Statement to the Media by Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Díaz about the celebration of the Seventh Caricom-Cuba Summit

Havana, December 4th, 2020. The Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the CARICOM-Cuba mechanism will be held on December 8 this year. This is an important forum whose efforts are focused on the strengthening of relations between the Caribbean Community and Cuba and finding solutions to the most pressing problems affecting the region, such as climate change effects and development challenges.
