Havana, March 19th, 2020.- In view of the serious international epidemiological situation arising from the high rate of spread of the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV 2/Covid-19), and its rapid expansion, Cuban Consulates abroad have adopted measures aimed at protecting Cuban nationals requesting services and the Cuban officials working in our country’s consular offices overseas against potential spread of the disease.

Nassau, March 5th, 2020. The Minister of National Security of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Honorable Marvin Dames and the Cuban Ambassador Alejandro García del Toro held a fruitful exchange at the headquarters of that institution. Both discussed the different areas related to national security of the two countries, in which there are spaces to maintain or diversify the cooperation.

A Memorandum on Education is signed between the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and Cuba

Nassau, February 21st, 2020. The Minister of Education of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Honorable Jeffrey L. Lloyd and the Cuban ambassador in that country Alejandro García del Toro signed today the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the ministries of education of the two countries. Senior executives of that Bahamian institution and diplomats of the Cuban mission in that archipelago attended the ceremony.

A little baseball game, between Love and Friendship, in the neighboring archipelago of The Bahamas

Nassau, February 16th, 2020. This Sunday morning, under a strong Caribbean sun, the Association of Cuban Residents "Ismaelillo" and the Cuban Embassy in this city organized a baseball game to celebrate the Day of Love and Friendship. Cubans residents, teachers of the Educational Brigade, pharmacists and members of the diplomatic mission fraternized in a match between "The Little Champions" and "The Hurricanes of the Caribbean."
