The new Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts was high on the list of discussion points when Cuban Ambassador, Sergio de Jesus Jorge Pastrana, paid a courtesy visit to Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Eudine Barriteau on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Barriteau laid out the advanced plans on the new Faculty – the latest addition to the Cave Hill Campus in over 50 years – and its important role in acknowledging the significance of Caribbean culture on the world stage.

Presentation of Credentials

In the morning of February 12, 2019, at the Government House in Barbados, Sergio de Jesús Jorge Pastrana delivered his Credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in Barbados to the Governor General, Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, GCMG, DA, QC.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Hughland Allman, Protocol Director of the Foreign Ministry; Ms. Sandra Watkins, Personal Secretary of the Governor, and Mrs. Liliana María Wong Servio, Consul of Cuba in Barbados.
