With the participation of the Director of International Relations of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Celia Labora, the Caribbean Network of Chambers of Commerce was established last week in Barbados. Executive Directors of sixteen (16) Chambers of Commerce across the Caribbean region gathered at the Accra Beach Resort and Spa in Barbados on April 1 and 2, 2019, for the Official Launch and First Meeting of the Network of Chambers of Commerce (CARICHAM). During the two day meeting, history was created with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing the Network.

The new Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts was high on the list of discussion points when Cuban Ambassador, Sergio de Jesus Jorge Pastrana, paid a courtesy visit to Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Eudine Barriteau on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Barriteau laid out the advanced plans on the new Faculty – the latest addition to the Cave Hill Campus in over 50 years – and its important role in acknowledging the significance of Caribbean culture on the world stage.

La nueva Facultad de Cultura, Artes Creativas y Escénicas ocupó un lugar destacado en la lista de puntos de discusión cuando el Embajador de Cuba, Sergio de Jesús Jorge Pastrana, realizó una visita de cortesía a la Vicerrectora y Directora, Profesora Eudine Barriteau el martes 19 de marzo de 2019. .
