Cuba denounces U.S. government exclusion of Cuba from preparations for Ninth Summit of the Americas

I am obliged to denounce the fact that the U.S. government has decided to exclude the Republic of Cuba from preparations for the Ninth Summit of the Americas set to take place in Los Angeles, June 8-10; and is currently exerting extreme pressure on numerous governments in the region that have privately and respectfully opposed this exclusion.
The U.S. government is misleading the public and governments of the hemisphere by saying that it has not yet made decisions regarding invitations.

Caribbean Recreational Fisheries Exchange 2022

The Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation and the Belize Fisheries Department welcome visitors from Cuba, The Bahamas, and the United States on the first day of a 5-day recreational fisheries exchange hosted in partnership with the non-profit organization, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). The learning exchange aims to build a community of practice and share knowledge about conservation, sustainable fisheries management, and preparing for climate change.

Cuba urges the US to comply with migratory agreements

There is no justification for keeping that service interrupted in Cuba and forcing the aspiring emigrants to travel to Guyana, the head of the island’s diplomacy said in a message posted on Twitter.

He reiterated that the US government must stop hindering and violating the rights of Cubans to travel to third countries in the area and calls for compliance with bilateral migration agreements in their entirety and not selectively.

Washington, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío underscored the importance of the migratory agreements with the United States, regarding the round of talks on the subject, which begins here.

Fernández de Cossío, who heads the Cuban delegation to the official talks, said on Twitter that the agreements are valid and establish obligations for both governments.
