REMARKS TO THE CUBAN CIVIL SOCIETY EXCLUDED FROM THE SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS.

Comrades all;

Allow me to begin with words that were told more than one century ago:

“When a strong nation wants to fight a battle with another, it demands allegiance and service from those nations dependent upon it. The first thing a nation does to dominate another is to separate it from other nations.”

This was written by Jose Marti 130 years ago after attending the Monetary Conference, a feast purposely designed by a burgeoning United States for the young republics of Our America.

Statement by the Revolutionary Government

Havana, June 6th, 2022.- The US Government, abusing its privilege of being the host country, decided at a very early stage to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in the city of Los Angeles this month of June. It has refused to attend to the just claims of many governments to change that discriminatory and unacceptable stand.

CARICOM condemns blockade against Cuba and exclusions from summit

Georgetown, May 24 (Prensa Latina) The Community of Caribbean States (CARICOM) condemned the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and the selective exclusion of countries from the 9th Summit of the Americas.

A CARICOM statement highlights that among the agreements of the Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations, the member states reaffirmed the need to lift Washington’s economic, financial and commercial blockade against Havana, and agreed to continue claiming that.

ALBA-TCP Summit announced in Cuba

Havana, May 24 (Prensa Latina) The XXI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) will take place in Havana next Friday, it was announced.

This was reported by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its web page.

At the forum, the nations that make up the alliance “will share common development strategies and analyze the regional political situation,” the announcement said.

Iran is the first country to produce Cuba’s Covid-19 vaccines

Tehran, May 17 (Prensa Latina) Iran became the first country to produce Cuba's Covid-19 vaccines with the inauguration of a plant for the production of the PastoCorona vaccine, which was inaugurated in this capital on Sunday.

The inauguration of the PastoCorona vaccine plant in Iran consolidates the scientific collaboration and the international insertion of BioCubaFarma’s companies,” the president of that Cuban firm, Eduardo Martínez, tweeted.
