Prime Minister of Belize insists on the US lifting blockade on Cuba

Paramaribo, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) Belizean Prime Minister John Briceño insisted on the need for the United States to lift the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba more than 60 years ago.

Briceño also described this policy as illegal during his speech at the opening on Sunday of the 43rd Summit of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), based in this capital.

ExpoCaribe Trade Fair kicks off in Santiago de Cuba

Havana, June 23 (RHC)-- ExpoCaribe, Cuba's second most important trade fair, opens this Thursday at the Heredia cultural complex in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba, with a special dedication to the half-century of Cuba-CARICOM relations.

The event's program includes a session of panels to be held at the Antonio Maceo Revolution Square.

Cuban ambassador meets with president of the National Institute of Culture and History of Belize

Belize City, June 21, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada held a meeting with Mrs. Merilyn Young, president of the National Institute of Culture and History of Belize (NICH). During the fraternal meeting,  they highlighted the historical cultural exchanges between the two countries and  the possibility of cooperation in areas of interest, as well as the realization of joint activities that allow the Belizean people to learn about the rich Cuban culture and its Caribbean identity.
