Bishkek, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is strengthening trade and economic ties with the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) affected by the incidence of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero stated.

Condolences expressed in Cuba for fire victims

Havana, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel sent condolences to the families and friends of those who died during a major fire in the industrial zone of the western city of Matanzas.

From his Twitter account, the president reiterated that the island is in official mourning, for two days, as a tribute to the “valuable lives that were lost in the confrontation with the fire at the Supertanqueros base”.

Cuban diplomat stresses importance of Caribbean meeting

Nassau, Aug 16 (Prensa Latina) The First Regional Meeting of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) will serve as a platform to learn about the challenges and needs of developing island states, a Cuban official said today.

From her Twitter account, Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez also described this conclave as an important space for exchange.
