Cuba remembers the first victory of Socialism in Latin America

Havana, Apr 17 (Prensa Latina) The victory over the mercenary invasion on Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs), in central Cuba, 62 years ago, meant the first great defeat of the United States in American lands and expressed the country's determination to defend its socialism.

The aggression confirmed to the world the intentions of the Government of the US, concerning the emerging Revolution that began on January 1, 1959, after the defeat of the dictatorial regime of Fulgencio Batista (1952-1959).

The National Electoral Council (CEN) reports the final result of the national elections held last Sunday, March 26

State Mission congratulates Cuban women in Belize.

Belmopan, Mar 9 (Prensa Latina) Cuban women who carry out separate liabilities and missions in Belize celebrated their International Day with various activities organized by the state mission, diplomatic sources reported Thursday.

The Cuban embassy in Belize stated that, from their jobs in the health sector and diplomacy, they represent women´s achievements following the 1959 revolutionary triumph.

Díaz-Canel affirms in Argentina that the Cuban Revolution will not give up

Buenos Aires, Jan 24 (RHC) The Cuban Revolution will never give up or allow itself to be intimidated by threats, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said Monday during a meeting with legislators and representatives of political, social, trade union and solidarity organizations in Argentina.
