Raul Castro attends debates in Cuba’s Parliament

Havana, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) Army General Raul Castro, leader of the Cuban Revolution, is attending the second day of the 10th ordinary session of the National People's Power Assembly (Parliament) on Tuesday.

 At the meeting, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero will present the report on the measures to confront crime and illegalities.

Cuba celebrates 32 anniversary of medical collaboration in Belize.

Belmopan, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban health professionals celebrated the Latin American Medicine Day and the 32nd anniversary of medical collaboration in this Central American country, a diplomatic source reported on Monday.

At the ceremony, presided over by Cuban Ambassador Maria Caridad Balaguer, Consul Gustavo Aguinaga and doctor Maria del Carmen Lozada, the most outstanding medical professionals in 2022 across the nation were granted a prize.

More than five million Cubans cast their ballots in Sunday's elections

Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- This Sunday, shortly before the closing of polling stations, it was reported that 63.85% of the total number of registered voters for the municipal elections in Cuba exercised their right to vote.

The information, provided to the press by the spokesman of the National Electoral College (CEN), Denys Buedo, means that 5 million 332 thousand 591 citizens went to the polls to elect delegates to the municipal assemblies of the People's Power, the main body of the State at the local level.

Cuba with low incidence and zero tolerance for trafficking in persons

Havana, November 8 (RHC)-- Cuba has maintained its "zero tolerance" policy with respect to any form of human trafficking.  This is confirmed by the recently published report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the behavior of this issue during 2021, a year in which the prevention and confrontation of human trafficking and related crimes was further strengthened.
