President Diaz-Canel Describes 2019 as a Year of Challenges and Victories

Havana, Dec 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel envisioned 2019 on Wednesday a year of challenges and victories, a few days before the island celebrates the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

'A new year is about to begin, a new anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. It will be a year of challenges, battles, and victories and we will go for more,' he wrote on his Twitter account.

With a symbolic assault on Cuban medical personnel working in the Modern Medical Complex of Georgetown, the Embassy of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines organized a Toast for the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, in order to celebrate the important date.

 In her speech, Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino said that the Cuban Revolution, at 60 years old, shines with dignity, a splendid maturity, to which it has arrived without giving up and without renouncing its principles, no matter how strong the winds of adversities have been.
