Cuban residents in Jamaica celebrate National Day of Culture

Kingston, Jamaica, October 24th, 2017. Summoned by the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, more than fifty Cubans residing in Jamaica, members of the solidarity movement and Cuban collaborators in this Caribbean nation, attended the diplomatic mission to celebrate the National Day of Culture, acknowledged as a date that definitely marks the birth of our nation and identity.

Liberian newspaper The New Dawn publishes article on Cuba's fight against blockade

In its Tuesday edition from October 24th , in the section titled "More Headlines News" the Liberian newspaper The New Dawn published the article "Cuban Embassy here wants U.S blockade lifting". The libel is based on information transmitted the previous day at a press conference by the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, on the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than fifty years, unilaterally, by the government of the United States against Cuba.

Ambassador of Cuba in Maldives presents Credentials

MALDIVAS, October 24, 2017. - On October 23, 2017, H.E. Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez presented to His Excellency Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, President of the Republic of Maldives, the Credentials that accredit her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Maldives, with headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Tribute paid to Fidel in Albury

Albury

Albury, 23th of October 2017. The photo exhibition Fidel es Fidel by the outstanding Cuban filmmaker and photographer Roberto Chile was presented in Albury on October 21st and 22nd as part of an initiative organized by the Australian-Cuban Solidarity Association in Victoria and supported by the Embassy of Cuba in Australia.

The vice mayor of Albury, Amanda Cohn, also attended the opening session.

The attendees enjoyed the 17 snapshots, taken by Roberto Chile's masterful lens, of the Eternal Commander between 2005 and 2012.
